My name is Coach Art.
My father served in the United States Air Force so I grew up with a military background. I was a pre med major in college and studied martial arts as a student. I achieved a 3rd degree brown belt and began instructing kids classes at an early age. I have enjoyed playing recreation court and sand volleyball most of my adult life.
I now have 8 years experience coaching girl’s volleyball. I began with the city of San Antonio’s summer program, then as a volunteer coach for NYS. I have coached volleyball players from 11-18 years of age. I have coached girls club 15’s local, 16’s regional and 18’s regional. I have been mentored by regional and national coaches alike. I am constantly studying lesson plans and subscribing to college coach webinars to improve my curriculum.
I have also have 3 daughters that played club and scholastic volleyball, so I have been on the parent side as well. I strive to make the Volleyball club experience one that is beneficial to the players skill development, but also an enjoyable experience. I coach a statistic driven program. We use statistics and data to identify areas of opportunity and focus our training. My mission is to develop individual player skills and techniques, but maximize team synergy and effectiveness.
I believe that hard work and dedication produces the best results when it is combined in a healthy, positive environment.
